Pediatric belt canes are essential mobility tools for toddlers because they give blind toddlers a head start to independence by combining independent walking ability and safety. With a belt cane, your child can confidently explore the world around them on their own terms. Plus, early belt cane usage can lead to improved motor and cognitive development.

How to Measure

Frame size:

6, 7, 8 or 9 Use a ruler to measure the width of hips.

Frame length:

Measure child's height from shoulder to the ground.

Belt size:

Child's waist circumference when measuring tape is snug like a belt.

About Belt Cane

The pediatric belt cane consists of a rectangular frame that connects to a belt with magnets. The base of the cane slides along the floor with approximately one inch clearance in between the two cane tips. Toddlers who are blind improve balance and confidence wearing belt canes.

Subsidized Belt Canes
